A Complete Redesign to Get Bold & Uplift the Brand
StackCommerce is a company on a mission to build scalable, revenue-driving solutions for publishers, brands, and creators through a unique intersection of commerce, content, and technology. The company had grown up a lot since its last website launch and needed a new site to better reflect its evolution.
Project Goals
We started from scratch and worked from the ground up to not only create all of the pieces of the StackCommerce story, but also put them together in a way that made sense and felt good. Our main goals were to:
Craft & tell the holistic (and often confusing) StackCommerce story in an easily-digestible manner.
Raise brand perception through cleaner, more bold design.
Old vs. New
We established an entire new color palette and aesthetic to move the brand away from its earlier days, which initially felt too playful, followed by a period which began to feel too stiff.
Creating the Story
While the homepage above aimed to tell the high-level story, supporting pages aimed at publishers and brands aimed to tell stories specific to those audiences.
Design Elements
We introduced a handful of new elements into the site and brand with this project: diagonal lines to create movement and dynamic containers within page sections, and a new suite of colors alongside a bold typographic approach to show off Stack’s bold, yet playful approach to conducting business.
Results
The new design was incredibly well-received by the team and its partners, helped generate more leads for both the business and sales teams, and helped in part to drive the acquisition of the company not long after its launch.
New Team Photos
Last but not least, a little side project that made its way into the site was an entire new set and style for team photos. We had each employee take one "normal" & one fun photo to show off their personality—a practice which continues to this day.
